Founded in 1964 and the CoSN Council of Florida. Our members run the student information systems, data warehouses and networks that 67 school districts, 28 state colleges and 12 public universities depend on.

Fourteen counties met in Tallahassee on 27 June 1963.
They recognised the need for a data processing association and applied for a state charter. William J. English was elected its first president, an office he held for the association's first three years.
